* Short Shots: There was an error in an e-mail and flyer that was distributed to some PJGT members regarding the Wild West Tournaments. The Siena Golf Club, host of one of the Wild West events, is in Las Vegas, not Litchfield Park, Ariz., as originally reported. The Wigwam tournament was also left off of the flyer and e-mail. Please refer to the PJGT tournament schedule for correct dates and locations. . . . The AJGA unveiled its redesigned Web site (www.ajga.org) Nov. 18. The redesign features an expanded left-side navigation menu with new features for coaches and parents as well as tabs for tournament information, results, rankings and player information.

RECRUITING CENTRAL

The recruiting process shifts gears this week for college coaches which may open a window of opportunity for high school golfers hoping to catch a coach's attention. The eight-day early Letter of Intent signing period ends Nov. 20, and coaches will begin focusing on the next signing period which begins in April, 2003 and on recruiting for future years. During the winter months while intercollegiate golf is between seasons, coaches have more time to respond to letters, phone calls and other contacts from prospective student-athletes and parents.
