RECRUITING
CENTRAL Campus visits for recruited student-athletes begin in the
fall for high school seniors, and preparation can help recruits gather
useful information and make a good impression. It is a good idea for
prospective student-athletes to make a list of questions they want
answered and give some thought about how the questions will be asked. With
minimal practice, important questions can be phrased as part of normal
conversation instead of resembling an interrogation. Recruits should
remember they are being observed as well doing the observing. High school
athletes generally visit only campuses where they have genuine interest so
homework before going can help in the selection process.
